Ehret Family Winery is the creation of husband and wife team, Pierre and Susan Ehret. The winery, located in the highly esteemed Knight's Valley in Northern Sonoma County, hand crafts small lots of award winning Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and a red meritage blend from the winery's estate Bavarian Lion Vineyard.

Pierre Ehret is the owner of Sonoma County's renowned Flamingo Resort Hotel and Conference Center in Santa Rosa, California. Between his ownership of the hotel and his upbringing in Germany, Pierre developed an appreciation and understanding of fine wines, both domestic and European. That appreciation led to establishing the Bavarian Lion Vineyard in Knights Valley which has sold its grapes to such notables as Beringer Winery, Adobe Road Winery, and Cakebread. From there, his appreciation led Pierre down an obvious path and Ehret Family Winery was born.

A Family Affair

Ehret Family Winery is more than just Pierre and Susan - the winery exists for the next generation, their children Alex, Christian, and Isabelle. The Ehret Family is dedicated to creating estate wines of quality and distinction which will continue, with well earned respect, far into the future.

A Star Winemaker

To create those outstanding wines, the Ehret Family hired Nick Goldschmidt of Goldschmidt Vineyards, Forefathers Wines, and the excellent wines in the portfolio of Beam Wine Estates (now Constellation Brands' Vintas BWE). Born and trained in New Zealand, Nick has international winemaking experience from California to Argentina, and from Australia to Europe. Nick's minimalist approach to winemaking has earned him the respect and praise of colleagues and critics alike.

Sales & Marketing

Ehret Family Winery is pleased to have seasoned wine industry veteran, Susie Bynum, managing National Sales. Susie comes from the renowned Davis Bynum Family Winery and a background of winery management, and wine sales and marketing. Working at her father's winery growing up she is well versed in the wine industry as represented by one of the Russian River Valley's finest wineries.

Consumer-Direct Sales

Carolyn Lewis is a serial entrepreneur with a specialty in sales and marketing. Carolyn has worked for over 25 years in the hospitality, internet, business operations, and sales arenas, both domestically and internationally, and brings a wealth of expertise to the projects she undertakes.
